Fact: Did you know that the average medical doctor has only 24 classroom hours of training in nutrition? (Some even have as little as 2!) That means, however well-meaning your doctor is, chances are he or she is under-equipped to help you optimize your diet. It’s a major missing piece in health care today. And that’s why I’m here, with my training, my expertise, and perhaps most importantly, my time– to help you.
Nutrition is the most fundamental, and also the most overlooked, part of health care.
Whatever your health concerns, you’re likely to feel better on the right diet for you. (Which, importantly, may be different than the right diet for me or for your well-meaning friends and loved ones.)
My mission is to help you give your body what it needs to function properly, mobilizing your body’s natural healing mechanisms to restore balance. In some cases, nutrition therapy is so effective that clients no longer need their prescription medications. This is because good food in the right amounts nourishes good health from within, making it unnecessary to suppress symptoms with drugs.
Why work with me?
Because you’re sick of feeling like crap all the time. Because you have a serious diagnosis and want to engage natural methods to complement the work you’re doing with your doctor. Or maybe you’re not feeling too bad, but you want to optimize your health and prevent illness. Whatever your health goals, I’m here to help you identify and address the root causes of your health challenges so that you feel better naturally.
I’m not here to show off my knowledge and give you useless, one-size-fits-all advice. I’m here to get to know you and help you develop new habits that work with your lifestyle, habits, and preferences, making changes at any pace you are comfortable with. Whether you want to take baby steps or jump right in the deep end. Whether you’re an avid foodie, a busy professional, or working with a tight budget (even food stamps). You’ll get a plan designed to fit into your life and make it easy for you to eat better and feel better.
